         A lot has changed...

In regards to my wife and I, our lives have been turned upside down. So many things happened within a month, and we are still tangled up in the wake of it all. I think we are better off for it, but we need to get our heads above water to really be able to appreciate that. Work has been steady, although I am quickly growing tired of working in the shop again. Having to deal with everyone above you and all of their mistakes that they don't want to take responsibility for while you do, and redo, and redo... I have found I am a fairly entrepreneurial spirit and would love to one day strike out on my own, but not quite yet. Chelsea has started doing photography and already has a few projects in that. I feel this is something that could develop into what she does, and maybe even what we do. Musically everything has been put on hold. I am okay with this because there is no place to play and so many other things that need to get done, but I sincerely do miss music. In all that has happened my wife and I ended up moving to Hurricane, Utah, roughly 15 miles farther away from work than where we were. This means that biking is no longer realistic. A 40-50 mile round trip and a 10 hour day just dont mix well for me... Luckily I have an amzing wife who saw a need and did what she could to fill it. She sold the very first, and only, car that she ever had and bought me a completely bad ass scooter with the proceeds. Granted she did get a brand new 2008 Subaru Impreza hatchback out of the deal, but that doesnt change the fact that she got me a ridiculously rad scooter. Here it(no name or gender has been applied as of yet) is in all of its beauty:

I know what youre thinking, and yes, I have the 3/4 face solid black helmet, black leather jacket, and large sunglasses to go with it. I thought of going with flames on the helmet, but I just couldnt go that far. Maybe some pictures of the outfit will follow... The wife and I are planning on enjoying this for many other outings than just work. Trips through Zion will be a must. Anyone care to join us?

  •   Chelsea and I went out and took some pictures the other night. I rather enjoy taking pictures with her, because she is a very good model and a very good photgrapher. Shes just a very good wife, really...

Here she is as the model:

And here she is as the Photographer:

    Pictures are fun.

A lot has changed and a lot has remained the same. I am hoping to begin keeping track of my life and my thoughts on here again.

I have started riding my bike to work a few months ago. I now have a new commute since being layed-off/fired(Im still not sure what it was technically, but it wasnt cool either way.) and finding a new job. Check out the route on http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Daily-Commute80024 and it has all kind of other neat routes on it as well. Its a really cool resource. The ride is a five mile ride with a few little hills and one big one. On the way home there is 284 feet of rise in elevation and only 72 feet of descent. Most of all the climb is the one big hill. Its fun in the mornings going down though.

I ride a 2006 Raleigh Rush Hour single speed track bike that my family got for me for my birthday this year. Easily one of the best birthday presents ever...

That is a picture of it from the Raleigh Website. I have different tires on it, but other than that it looks just like this. Awesome right? Its so awesome that I am selling my van and my wife and I are going to go to only one car and hopefully only use that for extra long distances and emergencies. Its really a freeing experience riding a bike. Its you an the road and you can go anywhere you wish. You are not confined in your car, to the street, to anything. It has changed my life.

Other things that have changed my life...
My wife. Yes, Chelsea and I  actually got married. We have been married for over a year and a half, and it has been the best experience of my life. Yes, even better than the bike. Her Xanga is here www.xanga.com/PontiusPirate and she keeps it updated a lot more than I do.
Our parrots. Charlie the Amazon is ours.
Tweety the Lutino Indian Ringneck, that we are fostering.

There will be more to come I am sure. My life overall has been wonderfully blessed as of late. Really, its been wonderfully blessed all the way through, but Ive been seeing it more and more lately. Its often easy to forget how much we have and get caught up in what we are missing, but for now I am content with what I have. A wonderful  family, two wonderful birds, a fast bike, a job, and all the love I could ever need.

  • I am at my parents without Chelsea. A variety of things contributed to her not coming, but thats how things go. Its pretty boring here without her. Its been raining since I got here, but I knid of like it like that. Its going to be a lazy relaxing few days. I was going to go four wheeling with my brother today, but the rain didnt agree. Freinds have called but all they want to do is get drunk. I think I'll just hang out with my family. Its wierd how Ive been gone for over a year, but when I come back its like I never left. Im glad my family is so loving and accepting, and I cant wait for the day when Chelsea gets to meet them all and I can wait even less for the day when she legally becomes a part of my family.

Something I was thinking durring my flight, Theres more but I dont want to post all of it untill I have time to lay it all out.

Looking out the window I see the wing pointing towards the sunrise
As we not so gently arc our way over the wrinkeled earth
From this hieght one could calculate its age
Not from counting rings but peaks and valleys
